AMC's Best Picture Showcase Part 2 Rundown

The Oscars are over, and now we can finally prepare for the summer season. How angry were you about what films won? Did you bomb your Oscar poll because there was a tie?  Well there's always next year. We highly recommend participating in the AMC Showcase next year to get a grasp on the best picture nominees. Of course the real challenge is watching all the films in a 24 hour period, but as we mentioned last week in our rundown, Javi had a half marathon to run on Oscar Sunday (which he kicked its ass), so we opted for the two day showcase.

Here are our thoughts from part one. And now onto part two!

For Funsies: Kid's Reenact Oscar Nominees!

We're almost out of Oscar season folks. We've made it. Then on Monday we can all take to the Internet to complain about how annoyed we are that this movie or that movie didn't win.

Well to get you ready, if you missed ZERO DARK THIRTY, DJANGO, ARGO, LINCOLN or BEASTS OF THE SOUTHERN WILD, don't you worry because this video will help fill in the gaps to get you ready for your Oscar poll. Oh yeah, the reenactments of the films are performed by children, who are all quite adorable.

2013 Academy Award Nominations Reactions

Well, I think some people's Oscar polls are already flipped on their head. With the nominations just being announced by the lovely Emma Stone and the (ugh) Oscar host Seth MacFarlane, the Internet is now free to make predictions and generally complain about the Oscars for the next seven weeks. That's right, the broadcast is still seven weeks away.

This Daniel Day-Lewis Abraham Lincoln picture makes ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER look like a cheap imitation.

I think my headline says it all. Simply put, he looks amazing. This is the first official picture we've received from the upcoming Steven Spielberg LINCOLN movie courtesy of EW. Considering that Daniel Day-Lewis' work is the reason why this blog has a name, it's needless to say that I'm pretty pumped for this movie.

LINCOLN comes out on November 16, 2012. It is directed by Steven Spielberg and stars Daniel Day-Lewis, Sally Field, Jackie Earl Haley, Tommy Lee Jones, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
