SINISTER Trailer Drops and is Ready to Take Over Halloween

It's difficult to remember a Halloween when we didn't have a SAW or PARANORMAL ACTIVITY movie to look forward to. Ever since those two franchises have dominated the scary movie fan base, all other potentially competitive scary films end up trying for the weird Spring release. Well now it appears the PARANORMAL films may have some competition.

The new horror film, SINISTER, came out of this years SXSW with positive reviews with some saying this film is bringing something new to the genre. It always worries me when reviews claim it's redefining/game changer. That usually means it's only one critic screening away from being over-hyped with scores of hyperbolic reviews. However, after viewing the trailer, I enjoyed the mash up of "found footage" (a secret weakness of mine...love it) and traditional film.

Check it out after the jump.
