THE HISTORY OF FUTURE FOLK is a clever romantic comedy musical with amazing songs that I got to see during last year's Fantastic Fest. It tells the very "real" origin story of the bluegrass duo, Future Folk, as its two members, who hail from another planet and discover music on planet Earth. Think an outer space version of Flight of the Conchords. It opens in NY this Friday, and LA next Friday June 7th, while hitting VOD on June 4th.
