First FANTASTIC FOUR Trailer Is Not Bad, Surprises Nerds Everywhere!

There's been a disturbing trend lately where people on the internet, professional and esteemed critics included, will be dismissive of a movie thank to reports of a "troubled" production or reshoots weeks after principal photography has finished. What most people seem to remember is that movies are a complicated beast and many movies have had crazy stuff go down during production.

All of this to say that unlike a lot of people, I really want to see THE FANTASTIC FOUR. I like director Josh Trank, Kate Mara is an amazing actress and Miles Teller and Michael B. Jordan have great chemistry as seen in THAT AWKWARD MOMENT. It could also be a terrible piece of crap, but I'm not ready to dismiss it yet.

Now, thanks to the 20th Century Fox YouTube page via JoBlo Trailers, we have the first trailer for the movie. Check it out after the break.

TOMORROWLAND Teaser Trailer Teleports Out of Nowhere

I know I'm not the only person that completely forgot about director Brad Bird's TOMORROWLAND movie. I think one of the LOST guys is attached to write it and the plot is super mysterious? Who knows. Regardless, this seems like a fairly corporate movie by Disney to try to recreate the PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN success but this time instead of a movie based on a ride, it will be a movie based on an entire park! The teaser trailer was just released out of nowhere today via the Disney Movie Trailers Youtube page, and you can check it out after the break.

Latest X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST Trailer Sells The Movie The Best

According to my very authoritative Twitter feed, it seems people are not too keen on Bryan Singer's return to the X-MEN franchise, but I'm down for it. In what appears to be the last trailer before the release of the movie on May 23rd, 2014 and it's the best one. It gives us the best set up for the movie and a good feel for how the movie will go plot-wise.

SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR Trailer Drops!

It's been almost ten years since the first SIN CITY film, and now directors Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller are back for the sequel. The first film was one of the more highly stylized comic films, and the new one looks just as intense. A DAME TO KILL will be primarily based on the second book in the Sin City series.

Here's the synopsis:
In Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, Dwight is hunted down by the only woman he ever loved, Ava Lord, and then watches his life go straight to hell. Chronologically, this story takes place prior to “The Big Fat Kill” (featured in the film Frank Miller’s Sin City) and explains how Dwight came to have a dramatically different face.
Check out the trailer after the break.

THE ZERO THEOREM Trailer Is Simply Gorgeous

Terry Gilliam is a master director even if his box office doesn't show it. THE IMAGINARIUM OF DR. PARNASSUS is a vastly underrated movie and he's been keeping a pretty low key ever since. Now, the trailer for his newest movie, THE ZERO THEOREM sort of came out of nowhere and I couldn't be happier. Check out the trailer after the break.

Trailer for CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF MEATBALLS 2 Drops! And Now I Want Some Cake

It took me a while to see the original CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF MEATBALLS. I enjoyed the book as a child, but I couldn't see how in the world that would translate into a film. However, once again, my cohort sat me down on idle Saturday and made me watch it, and man I loved everything about this film: the world, the puns, and the Mr. T.

Now a mere four years later, we're getting our sequel. The original directors, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, are not back as directors, but they choose two men, Cody Cameron and Kris Pearn, who both worked on the first film, to direct the sequel.

Check out the synopsis and trailer (thanks Yahoo!) below.

The Redband EVIL DEAD is NSFW or Your Weak Stomach

Confession...I've never seen the original EVIL DEAD or the sequel. I have however seen ARMY OF DARKNESS, which I hear is tonally completely different than the other two. I know. Shame on me. I can hear you scorn and head shaking through my screen right now. It's in my Netflix queue; I swear.

Of course, with any cult classic, you always need to remake at some point. Thankfully with this series, Sam Raimi is back as producer and writer. Judging from this trailer, this will be a film is not for the faint of heart.

Here's the synopsis via ShockTillYouDrop.com:
The film follows five twenty-something friends who become holed up in a remote cabin where they discover a Book Of The Dead. An archaeologist's tape recording reveals that the ancient text was discovered among the Khandarian ruins of a Sumerian civilization. Playing the taped incantations, the youths unwittingly summon up dormant demons living in the nearby woods, which possess the youngsters in succession until only one is left intact to fight for survival.

Check the trailer (NSFW) after the jump.

A new trailer for THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY is here and it looks damn good.

There's a reason we haven't really said much about the whole "turning THE HOBBIT into 3 movies" fiasco that nerds were freaking out about. That's mostly becuase while I can seee how this is a total cash grab, I trust Peter Jackson's vision and if he needs to draw from the appendices, then so be it as long as the story is good for the three movies. That being said, I think that the new trailer for THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY looks to be a great preview of what we can expect from the first installment of the new trilogy. Thanks to Apple, you can check out the trailer after the break.
