MALEFICENT Trailer Sure Has Dark CGI Environments
It seems that Disney is bent on riding the CGI/live action fairy tale bandwagon for all it's worth. Today, thanks to the Disney Movie Trailers YouTube channel, we have the first trailer for the upcoming MALEFICENT. Incidentally, the coolest of the evil witch characters in the Disney canon. Check out the trailer below.

OLD BOY Red Band Trailer Drops!
We may never fully understand the reasons, other than studios wanting to make buckets of money, why remakes are forced upon us. Some remakes end up being just as good or even better than the originals, but when the original is a solid film with a following, it's tough to justify remaking it for American audiences.
The original OLDBOY was released in 2003 with positive reviews and has grown to a "must see" thriller film. There's been grumblings around the interwebs when an American remake was announced. However, writer Mark Protosevich says he is penning this film based more on the Manga series than the original Korean film. We shall see.
Here's the synopsis:
Joe Doucett (Josh Brolin), an advertising executive is kidnapped and held prisoner for twenty years in solitary confinement. After he is suddenly released, he goes on a mission to find the person responsible for his imprisonment, later discovering that his life is still caught in conspiracy and torment.
Check out the trailer after the break.

Full ELYSIUM Trailer Drops So Much Sassy Matt Damon
In a summer that seems to be filled with a post-apotcalyptic stories, ELYSIUM seems to be one of the few stand out thrillers. Maybe that's the biased towards director Neill Blomkamp, who directed one of my favorites, DISTRICT 9. In ELYSIUM, Blomkamp is back telling an allegorical story of class struggle with the poor having to live on Earth, but the rich live in a space city called Elysium.
We got a teaser trailer a couple months ago, but now we get a giant, full trailer which elaborates on more details of why Matt Damon is trying to get up to Elysium. This trailer could be filled with some plot spoilers, so I would steer clear if you want to go in completely blind.
But otherwise, check it out after the break!
