Jonesy's Top Ten Films of 2013
We made to 2014, and it's time for another year of great movies. I ended 2013 seeing 271 films, 70 of which were released in 2013. Overall, it was a great and entertaining year. My disappointments were more difficult to come up with than this list. I narrowed my list to 15, but then it was like pulling teeth trying to whittle it down to a top ten. As always, my list is in no particular order, and look for my honorable mentions and festival mentions towards the end.
My cohort has already posted his top films, and now….
Onto my list!

THOR: THE DARK WORLD Trailer Gives Us More Loki Action!
While the original THOR gave us Loki, it definitely had a scope issue. Much like the first IRON MAN, once you step back from it, you realize there's not much that actually happens in the movie. I have been eagerly anticipating the second THOR if only because I want to see the world expanded and it looks like this is what will happen in the sequel. Thanks to YouTube's Geek Week, via Screen Crush, we have the newest trailer which was premiered at Comic-Con last month. Check it out after the break.

New THOR: THE DARK WORLD Trailer Means Hammer Time (Again)!
With IRON MAN 3 we are in the beginning stages of Marvel's Phase Two of their movie universe. IRON MAN 3 isn't really a movie I'm looking forward to, Shane Black's involvement is barely keeping me interested. However, THOR was probably my favorite of the Phase One movies for many reasons, one of them being Tom Hiddleston as Loki as the most sympathetic villain in the Marvel universe, and of course, Kat Dennings. This new trailer gives us a bit of an idea of the direction of the movie and the scope of it as well. Check out the trailer below.

Comic-Con Round Up of All the Movie Madness: Marvel Cinematic Universe, PACIFIC RIM, and THE HOBBIT
Comic-Con 2012 has finally come to a close, and even though not many of us were able to secure any of exclusive Mondo posters (like the one above), we received plenty of movie news that will make the next couple years quite interesting.
