Badass Digest's Devin Faraci has reported that he got word from a reliable source that the main villains from the upcoming THE DARK KNIGHT RISES are none other than The League Of Shadows.
For those that remember, the League was the organization that trained Bruce Wayne in BATMAN BEGINS that existed to destroy civilizations when they become corrupt. At first lead by Ra's Al Ghul, then by Henri Ducard, they were the main antagonists of the movie.
Faraci reported that the League would include:
Headed by Talia Al’Ghul. With Bane, who is her muscle/possible love interest. And with Joseph Gordon-Levitt in tow. Is he playing Black Mask?
This is an interesting turn of events for the movie. This would be the best way to fit in so many big names and characters without being BATMAN and ROBIN all over again. I think this would really bring the story of Batman full circle. Also, the story claims that Catwoman would ultimately be an ally of Batman's which is how she is always portrayed in the comics. Either way guys, this makes me feel even more excited for the movie.
THE DARK KNIGHT RISES is directed by Christopher Nolan, it stars Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Gary Oldman. It comes out July 20, 2012.
