Netflix Instant: Movie & TV Picks - When Animals Attack Edition!

There's something about animal violence that puts me off completely. I will actually stop watching a movie if I see animals being hurt. Animals hurting people on the other hand is completely badass! Thus the theme for today's Netflix picks. I always love killer animal movies due to their allegorical nature and these movies definitely have that. Check them out after the break.

A Roger Corman joint. I haven't seen it yet, but the creature designs look so rad, I had to put it here. The movie deals with intelligent, brain-eating mutated crabs that terrorize a group of scientist in an island that is slowly shrinking into the ocean.

The movie that inspired this column. The movie is an obvious cautionary tale against animal testing since the killer baboon, Shakma becomes a furry murder machine after being tested on. The best part is that he is hunting down LARPers inside a hospital!

Real talk: I really loved the poster so that's why it's in here.

That's it for me, folks! I hope you enjoy my picks for this week.

  1. I don't know why, but man has always been adventurous. As a camper, I've been taught early on to be prepared at all times in case I come face to face with a wild animals. It is a scary thought so it's good to be prepared at all times and make sure you know the terrain and place you would set camp. Here's a great site I've stumbled into which features how to avoid wild animals. See here http://myoutdoorslife.com/basics/how-to-avoid-wild-animal-attacks.html
