X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST Trailer Is All Moody And Stuff

This movie sure feels like a crazy anomaly. You have a franchise's first director who left due to studio interference directing the sequel to the reboot/prequel with much of the original cast intact. The novelty alone is interesting, but what's even better is that this movie is based on of the better X-men stories from the comics. Now, we have a trailer for it.

Check it out after the break thanks to the X-Men Movies YouTube channel.

This trailer feels like a great "best of" for the entire franchise, but I have to say that the super serious and angsty tone is a little too much. I remember X-MEN: FIRST CLASS having quite a bit of humor and a nice balance tonally speaking. Either way, I love Michael Fassbender as Magneto so I will be lined up to see it.

X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST comes out on May 23rd, 2014, it's directed by Bryan Singer and stars Sir Patrick Stewart, Sir Ian McKellan, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry, Jennifer Lawrence, Ellen Page, and Nick Hoult.
