The Local Haps - Christmas Week Edition!

Christmas is almost here and of course there's a lot of Christmas-related movies are still being screened. This week is once again pretty light and there are some events that I didn't list due to the fact that they're sold out. But check out the rest of the events after the break!

Tuesday, December 23rd
Alamo Drafthouse: PICK OF THE WEEK! Horror Remix triumphantly returns with their classic Holiday Show consisting of ICED, CHRISTMAS EVIL, and SILENT NIGHT, DEADLY NIGHT 2 all cut down to the blood, gore and nudity. Best of all, you can reserve your seat for just $1!

Wednesday, December 24th
Alamo Drafthouse: Tough Guy Cinema returns with a Christmas Eve screening of DIE HARD at 7:00 pm.

Thursday, December 25th aka Christmas
No special movie screenings, but all theaters are open. If you do end up going to a movie theater like I do, remember to tip extra well and be extra nice to the wonderful people that are spending Christmas away from their family to make this possible. Merry Christmas, guys!

Friday, December 26th
Alamo Drafthouse: The highly-praised Iranian vampire thriller A GIRL WALKS HOME ALONE AT NIGHT will begin its run at 6:45 pm. Then later on that night at 9 pm, there's a 35mm print of TOKYO GODFATHERS showing at 9 pm. The movie deals with three homeless people in Tokyo trying to find an abandoned child's parents.

Saturday, December 27th
Texas Theatre: Tonight would be a rad double feature. A GIRL WALKS HOME ALONE AT NIGHT at 7 pm, and then THE BABADOOK at 9:45 pm.

Sunday, December 28th
Alamo Drafthouse: The Cinema Cocktails, where the movie you're watching is paired with a specially-crafted cocktail,  series continues with THE APARTMENT at 12:40 pm. The Billy Wilder classic is one of those movie that's I've always known is highly revered but I find deplorable.

Texas Theatre: Another A GIRL WALKS HOME ALONE AT NIGHT/THE BABADOOK double feature at 6:30 pm and 8:45 pm.
