Netflix Instant: TV and Movie Picks

It's almost August, but the heat is on here in Dallas. It's tough to go outside to do anything unless you have a pool to lounge by. So, if you've been huddled inside with the AC blasting, here are some titles for you to enjoy!

My cohort saw this film at Fantastic Fest last year and couldn't stop raving about it. It's a thriller about a man who comes home and befriends his fallen army buddy's family. The guest turns out to be not who he says he is, obviously, and director Adam Wingard (YOU'RE NEXT) creates another tension filled thriller to watch.

THE SKELETON TWINS
Jumping from comedy to drama can be difficult for actors, but Bill Hader and Kristen Wiig successfully make the leap playing siblings in this movie. There are some great interactions between them, and they really make the film with their performances. You can check out my review here.

GIRLS JUST WANNA HAVE FUN
I remember one of my high school English teachers showing this movie to us...for some reason. It had nothing to do with school, but those were the better days where teachers could have a random movie day and not be in trouble. It's silly and ridiculous, and Sarah Jessica Parker's hair is the most '80s thing you'll see, but it still holds a special place in my heart.
