The struggle of starring in a billion dollar franchise like Harry Potter is what exactly are you suppose to do next? How do you break away from your iconic character? Daniel Radcliffe stepped out with two Broadway shows and the thriller THE WOMAN IN BLACK. And now Emma Watson takes her shot of breaking away with THE PERKS OF BEING A WALLFLOWER.

Based on the acclaimed book, WALLFLOWER is a coming of age story of Charlie who must face the dreaded freshman year of high school. I never read the book, but I have many friends who swore by it in high school.

Check it out after the break.

It's nice to see Watson play more of a free spirit. I enjoy the feel of this trailer, but I'm always weary of coming-of-age stories. They tend to be too predictable and not realistic. However, I have a bit more faith in this film because I know how much my friends loved the book.

THE PERKS OF BEING A WALLFLOWER will be released September 14, 2012 starring Emma Watson, Logan Lerman, Ezra Miller and Paul Rudd.
