Netflix Instant: TV & Movie Picks - Past Fantastic Fest Edition!

Since Jonesy and I will be doing Fantastic Fest, THE most fun movie festival around, I decided to highlight a few of the past Fantastic Fest titles that are on Netflix Instant. I will admit I cheated a little this week in picking my movies. My good friend, Carolee, one of the directors of the upcoming VHS culture doc, REWIND THIS! put together a list of all of the movie that have ever played at Fantastic Fest and even added which ones are on Netflix! I picked three that I want to watch at some point after I come back from the trip. In addition, look for coverage beginning on Thursday, September 20th. Remember to follow @WDYMS, @JaviFuentes and @angjonesy for any non-review updates and shenanigans while we're down in Austin. Now, go check out these movies after the break.

So this movie is apparently about a song somehow saving the world from a comet. The movie is a series of short stories that talk about the song throughout different eras.

As a music dude, I cannot stand any music that's not hardcore that has the -core suffix in it. It's just fake genres made up by random bloggers. However, I do like MC Frontalot and since the movie features a lot of comedians and musicians that I like, I figured this would be a good watch.

It can't be worse than THE EXPENDABLES 2, right?

AND A BONUS!
This one has played at Butt-Numb-A-Thon but not Fantastic Fest, but since this movie is one of my favorite movies of the year I wanted to highlight it before Jonesy did. For those that haven't seen it, be warned that this is a violent adult movie not some wolf-punching extravaganza.

That's it for this week guys! See y'all down in Austin.
