Are you ready for round two? Now that the first set of Avengers films, we get to enjoy another set of individual Avengers films before the big sequel which is scheduled to be released in May 2015. The first one up for the second round (or in this case third) is IRON MAN 3. This third installment begins where THE AVENGERS left off where Tony Stark has saved the world and now must begin his life again.
I said when I posted the teaser trailer that this film is taking a darker tone from the first two, but after seeing the full length trailer, oh man, I got goosebumps.

I enjoy the straight forward speech at the beginning where Stark has resigned and accepted his place in life. Then, as the music begins to speed up and swell, the situation, literally, blows up for him. This is such a well cut trailer, and (almost) makes any reservations I have go away. It'll be the test to see if this film can be a stand alone or have the same problems as IRON MAN 2 where the plot gets bogged down with S.H.I.E.L.D. and/or the Avengers.
Also, holy crap those last five seconds are kickass.
IRON MAN 3 is directed by Shane Black and will be released May 3, 2013 starring Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Jon Favreau, and Ben Kingsley.
