For Funsies: Joel McHale Puts on His Best Fassbender

It's PROMETHEUS eve everyone, and I hope you're ready. Here's a fun little parody that was featured on The Soup this week. It features Joel McHale spoofing this viral clip featuring Michael Fassbender that was floating around about a month ago. This is a testament to how funny McHale and his Soup writing team are. And if you don't watch The Soup on a weekly basis, you are missing out!

See you at PROMETHEUS at midnight tonight!

DJANGO UNCHAINED Trailer Drops!

I feel that it's been too long since we've had a film from Quentin Tarantino. Granted it has only been three years, but INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS was so stellar, I was excited for his next film already. I thoroughly enjoyed how he took world history in BASTERDS and flipped it on its head. And now with his upcoming DJANGO UNCHAINED, he looks to show his version of the old west.

Check the trailer after the break.

For Funsies: Movie Wedding Montage

It's that time of year. If you're in your twenties, you know what I'm referring to. The time of year where the wedding invites start piling up and you begin to sort through the tulle and gift registries to find the perfect gift that won't break the budget. Most weddings follow the same standard pomp and circumstance, but every once in a while, you attend a really memorable one.

Now, I was not invited to this wedding of Robert Demitri, of Pajiba.com, and Mary Beth, but if this video is any indication, it sounded like a nerdy good time. Robert created a wedding montage as an "appetizer" leading up to his real one. This was shown before the ceremony to get everyone in the mood. It's quite lovely and definitely made me smile. Enjoy.

THE PERKS OF BEING A WALLFLOWER Trailer Drops!

The struggle of starring in a billion dollar franchise like Harry Potter is what exactly are you suppose to do next? How do you break away from your iconic character? Daniel Radcliffe stepped out with two Broadway shows and the thriller THE WOMAN IN BLACK. And now Emma Watson takes her shot of breaking away with THE PERKS OF BEING A WALLFLOWER.

Based on the acclaimed book, WALLFLOWER is a coming of age story of Charlie who must face the dreaded freshman year of high school. I never read the book, but I have many friends who swore by it in high school.

Check it out after the break.

THE BOURNE LEGACY Full Trailer Drops and Makes Me Not Want to Ride a Motorcycle

It's hard to imagine a Bourne film without Matt Damon, but if this new trailer is any indication, the marketing team is trying very hard to make sure we know that we're viewing a parallel part to original trilogy. The first teaser didn't give us much, but this new trailer, definitely shows how much ass Jeremy Renner is going to kick.

Check it out after the jump.

For Funsies: Harmony Korine makes The Black Keys look really gross in "Gold On The Ceiling" video.

Javi here with some weird stuff to start off your weekend right. Most movie fans will know writer/director Harmony Korine for his.... "unconventional" directing and writing style that was showcased in KIDS, GUMMO and most recently TRASH HUMPERS. I remember seeing GUMMO one very blurry night during college, and most of the time, I thought I was imagining most of the stuff going on screen. There is some very weird, grimy style and imagery that prevails through Harmony's work. I always feel like I'm in Garland (you know what I mean, Dallas natives) and it grosses me out a little. Imagine my surprise when Stereogum posted that Korine had directed a video for The Black Keys. This is a weird take on their hit song "Gold On the Ceiling." I'm pretty sure that one point there's dudes eating gold at one point? I found the video completely fascinating in just how bizarre it is. Check out the video below.

Netflix Instant: Cool TV and Movie Picks

Jonesy here with my Netflix picks of the week. This week has more of a drama theme with some thing old, something new, and something I am recommending for myself!

DRIVE
Yes, one of the most hyperbolically described films of last year is now available. When DRIVE was released, it garnered an unbelievable amount of hype to which if you didn't believe this was THE movie of 2011, then you had something wrong with you. The film does live up to its praise (and should have been nominated for at least a couple Oscars), but in my humble opinion, it's not the end all film of last year. It's quiet and calculated and a fantastic "different" type of thriller.

GHANDI
The more I reflect, the more I should thank my 6th grade Geography teacher. He showed BEN-HUR and GHANDI to a bunch of 11 year olds, which was my first introduction to epic films. I remember being engrossed in this film even as a young kid. It's sprawling and daunting, but Ben Kingsley is utterly unrecognizable towards the end of the film.

TYRANNOSAUR
When critics were wrapping up their tops of the year, this little film kept creeping onto many lists. It never played anywhere near where I live, so I kept my eye out for it here. The film is described as brutal yet tender and follows a two messed up people as they find solace in each other. Doesn't sound like the happiest film but I'm always interested in a character study.
