Javi here, with some great footage to share. I know we're a little behind the big kids, but better late than never. Right around the time the new TRANSFORMERS: DARK OF THE MOON 3D trailer came out, we got another in the form of GREEN LANTERN. Up until this point, I've been rather lukewarm towards this movie even though I am huge fan of the character, the mythos, and the book. Plus, I just recently read through all of the the Sinestro Corps War, Blackest Night and the first trade of Brightest Day.
My damn near apathy comes from the weird costume, and the thought that it was just gonna be a B-level superhero movie this side of DAREDEVIL and THE FANTASTIC FOUR. With this new trailer however, we get more of a cool STARS WARS vibe to the movie, and you see how it is embracing the sci-fi elements of the franchise. Check out the trailer below.
Now THAT'S what I'm talking about! I can honestly say that I am way more excited for this summer movie than anything outside of the indie/low-budget circles. It seems to have that sort of space opera feel to it, which I haven't seen in a long time. You bet that I'll be trying to find a cool replica ring during the summer. What do you think? Does it make you more excited for it? Or are you just as confused as ever?
