Top Disappointments of 2013: Jonesy's Take

2013 was a year of solid theatrical releases. While reading various sites and their lists of "bad movies" or "box office bombs", I realized I was lucky enough to miss most of those films that made those lists. Instead, I have my top five disappointments of 2013. These were films that had high expectations but failed to deliver for various reasons.

Most Anticipated Films of 2013: Jonesy Edition

Cheers everyone! I don't know about you, but I am very ready for what films 2013 is going to bring. Looks as if there will be the fair share of the popcorn blockbusters (IRON MAN 3, STAR TREK INTO THE DARKNESS, THOR: THE DARK WORLD), but there are some others out there that I am equally excited for. No surprise that my list is full of sci-fi films, but my list also weirdly has two films with Harrison Ford.

A New THE GREAT GATSBY Trailer Drops!

Among the many big films out this time a year, THE GREAT GATSBY was suppose to be among them. However, the film got pushed back until next May. The first trailer was dropped this past summer, and now we have a brand new one to gush about for the next six months.

THE GREAT GATSBY Trailer Drops!

I don't remember much about The Great Gatsby novel when I read it in high school. I remember not really liking it (but that could have been the rebellious side of me in not liking books we were forced to read) and the cover had naked ladies on it (google it). Thinking back I probably never gave the book a real chance because I've met many people in my life who genuinely enjoyed it.

Now, we have our first trailer of the upcoming Baz Luhrmann adaptation of the book. And after watching the trailer, all I have to say is I definitely didn't give the book a fair chance in high school.

Check it out after the jump.
