Not much can be said, I just enjoyed this funny little clip. I especially enjoy Shia LaBeouf as a whiny banana. This was found courtesy of /Film's Page 2.

TRANSFORMERS: DARK OF THE MOON 3D Reel First Impressions

For those "not in the know", Botcon is the rapidly growing annual Transformers convention set up by the Transformers Collector's Club every year. There are panels, script readings, behind the scenes looks at upcoming toys, and an overpriced dealer room! The big draw is always the exclusive toys as well as the fun of the convention experience. This was a particularly fun year as I got to meet and hang and drink with a lot of my Twitter buds. (shout out to all of you guys!)
During each of the years that a movie has come out, Botcon goers have been privy to exclusive first looks at the movie. In 2007, they were the first audience to see the completed movie, and in 2009, there was a clip, and this year during the second annual Hall of Fame Event, which took place on June 4, we knew that Steven Spielberg and Michael Bay would be inducted, and that we would be receiving the new Cinemasks for the occasion (for those wondering, I got the Optimus). So it felt very obvious that we would be at least getting a clip of the movie. There were suits, a VIP section, and even Tyrese "Left Cheek" Gibson showed up, so the buzz in the room was pretty high with anticipation.
Michael Bay accepted his statue for the Hall of Fame and talked about the production of the movie and how it was going before introducing the 3D reel which was mostly a clip show. Please be advised of potential spoilers ahead:

The acting in this TRANSFORMERS: DARK OF THE MOON clip is a little...(puts on glasses) ROBOTIC. YEEEEEEEEA!
So, yes the fanboy is writing about TRANSFORMERS again, and this time with a more sobering look at what we can expect from this movie in terms of acting, which has never been director Michael Bay's strong suit. In it we see newcomer Rosie Huntington-Whiteley introducing Sam (Shia LaBeouf) to her boss, played by McDreamy himself, Patrick Dempsey.
Not gonna lie guys... she can't act very well. It reminded me of my "acting" debut back in 3rd grade. And Sam obviously hasn't changed or matured at all from the previous movie but that's to be expected. I'm not gonna lie, this make me dread the non-robot parts of the movie. So, let's hope something good comes out of having McDreamy a cameo here.
As a bit of little news the release date has now been pushed back to June 29th according to Deadline. I feel this bodes well for our Summer Bet, because this means the movie will be further apart from HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS PART 2 and so people will feel like they have more money to spend in this movie.

The Almost Annual Summer Bet...who will win out??
So, two years ago, my cohort and I had a bet of which movie would make more money in its opening weekend...STAR TREK or TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN. Now, if you've been following us over the past few months, you will know that Javi is the die-hard Transformers fan. So, naturally that's what he predicted would make more money. I, however, put my faith in the Star Trek fandom that would be thrilled for a J.J. Abrams reboot of the series, which was the first movie in about seven years, and wouldn't let me down. But as we all know, ROTF beat the weekend gross of STAR TREK within 24 hours. (STAR TREK made $70 million opening weekend, which is pretty awesome for a May beginning of summer release, and ROFT made $90 million the FIRST DAY....) Needless to say, I went down in a Baysplosion of fire. So, I owed Javi two movie tickets.

| I mean...he's so fierce! |
This is also the final chance for all the fans to say good-bye to the characters that some of grown up with and come to love. When the final book came out, it was definitely a chapter closing in the fandom world, but we still had the movies to look forward to. However, this is it for this world, and for many of us, it's going to be a very sad farewell.
The fact someone thought this was funny makes me weep for mankind, says Javi
Will I win?? I hope so. I mean I better. Am I completely confident I will? Absolutely not. However, it's all in good fun, and it'll be a great summer to see who will win the epic battle between wizards and alien robots. Plus, the quality movie needs to win!Even that nose-less freak would cower in front of this guy.
So seriously guys, who do you think will win during the summer? Either one of our choices? A completely unexpected one?
-TRANSFORMERS: DARK OF THE MOON will be released July 1, 2011 in theatres and IMAX.
-HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS: PART 2 will be released July 15, 2011 in theatres and IMAX.

Logic Dictates You Will Check Out This TRANSFORMERS: DARK OF THE MOON Picture Countdown!
Ha! You thought I'd stop writing about this most potentially atrocious movie? Nope! Especially when it deals with sweet images! Earlier this week, the cool guys over at the Apple trailers website are featuring a gallery of five images that will be released one per day before the release of the trailer later this week. Yesterday, I was too busy/tired to write about this awesome image featuring Shockwave that was released yesterday!

Leonard Nimoy (Spock, William Bell) will voice Sentinel Prime in TRANSFORMERS: DARK OF THE MOON

Well this came out of nowhere. The coolest guy to come out of the Star Trek franchise (I hate you for Priceline, Shatner) has decided to return to the Transformers franchise this summer as a voice once again!

New TRANSFORMERS: DARK OF THE MOON NASCAR extended trailer
Ok, I'm a liar, and I'll probably be writing a whole lot more of TF:DOTM. But this stuff is looking so bananas, I can't help but share. As a huge movie tie-in, director Michael Bay, along with stars Josh Duhamel and Rose Huntington-Whiteley, were at the Daytona 500 race to announce the race, plus they got to show off the new Wreckers, which are actual NASCAR cars (is that how you would say that?) Either way, we got an extended TV spot that shares a lot of images from the Super Bowl teaser and adds quite a few interesting tidbits.
What I really enjoyed about this spot is it shows you the ridiculous gimmick called MechTech. In the new toy line, it is manifested as giant guns that you can attach and combine to make more weapons. In the movie, it seems that this will show up as well. In the trailer, you see Bumblebee deploying his guns and you see brief shots a few of the Wreckers with their guns out as well. Put it this way, this movie just got insane, unless the story is as atrocious as the second one, this might be at the very least, an amusing movie. Let us know what you think in the comments section!

TRANSFORMERS: DARK OF THE MOON mystery mustache robot from the trailer revealed!(spoiler)
This might be one of the last TRANSFORMERS: DARK OF THE MOON post until the movie comes out, but I'm not promising anything. Earlier today TFW2005.com posted a link to (out of all places) Entertainment Weekly where they debuted a few images showing official pictures of the new body for Megatron, the new Ark spaceship seen in the trailer, and more importantly, Sentinel Prime! Check out the pics!
I will say that Sentinel Prime is my favorite Transformers design to come out of this movie, that's not Shockwave. He looks heroic, badass, and more like an experienced fighter and not a ridiculous, cantakerous old robot like Jetfire from the previous movie. I'm not sure how he exists because in the last movie, Jetfire said that all of the last Primes died fighting The Fallen. Plus the big deal about Optimus is that he is the last Prime alive and there's no one to carry on the legacy. And just as a cool little tidbit, the new article has Michael Bay saying that Megatron will be "hiding in the jungles of Africa, nursing his wounds, and vainly hiding his pulverized visage while plotting — what else — revenge."
The Ark, which looks rather similar to the original, and a good TIE Fighter rip off.
This is the new Megatron, who use to be a ridiculous looking space ship/tank hybrid before this.
Here's the big guy, Sentinel Prime!

TRANSFORMERS: DARK OF THE MOON Super Bowl Teaser
Wow is all I can say after seeing this trailer. Now, I am the most jaded person in terms of this movie franchise mainly because of how ridiculous Michael Bay has made the movies; however, even this trailer made me want more. I'll post my full thoughts later.

New Transformers: Dark Of The Moon Villain Revealed Through Stolen Toys
Oh no! It's Javi blogging about new Transformers stuff...again. It's been a known practice that Chinese workers will steal early copies of upcoming toys and sell them on eBay for toy reviewers. This has been going on for a few years, and thanks to this rather illegal practice, we now have the first view of the main villain of TRANSFORMERS: DARK OF THE MOON.
Here is Shockwave courtesy of TFW2005, and ACTOYS.
Compare this image to his previous incarnation to the original 1980's cartoon, you'll see it's a good modernization of his character into the Michael Bay movies. Unlike a lot of the more iconic characters, such as Starscream or Ironhide, Shockwave actually looks like his original design of a purple cyclops. In the original cartoon he turned into a Space Gun, and he was the Decepticon that stayed behind on Cybertron to keep things in check for Megatron, while the main cast of characters were stuck on earth. For the movie, his alternate mode has been updated to an alien tank of some sort.
Here is Shockwave courtesy of TFW2005, and ACTOYS.
What I like about this particular design is, like I stated before, all of his iconic characteristics are intact here. You have the main purple body, the one-eyed faceless head, one of his arms being a gun and the hose that attaches to his back. This is almost as close to an homage to the original as movie Optimus Prime was.
As the main villain of the movie, he'll be a huge character, even if plot details are still rather sparse. We'll just have to wait and see. This is his main character description from TFWIKI:
"Shockwave has been referred to as "a computer on legs." This is not far from the truth. Logic rules Shockwave's thought processes and is the source of his every inspiration. He sees emotion as a weakness and a distraction. His cold and calculating modus operandi is supported by his frightening and exceptionally powerful form. Shockwave is possibly even more powerful than Megatron. Perhaps logic may one day dictate that the time to replace Megatron's flawed, emotion-fueled rule is at hand. After all, the only logical choice for Decepticon leader would be Shockwave himself."
TRANSFORMERS: DARK OF THE MOON comes out July 1, 2011.
